Plan Coverage
The type of plan coverage provided. It is important to note that not all Medicare plans provide prescription drug coverage. If you have Medicare Parts A and B (also called "Original Medicare"), then your Part D coverage will be a stand-alone prescription drug plan for which you must pay an additional price. If you have a Part C plan (also known as "Medicare Advantage"), then prescription drug coverage may or may not already be included.
Plan Type
The types of Medicare plans offered. The plan type will dictate which prescription drugs and forms of medical care are covered. It will also determine where you can access or obtain said drugs and services.
Brand Drug Gap Coverage
Whether brand-name prescription drugs are covered by the plan.
Generic Drug Gap Coverage
Whether generic, non-brand-name prescription drugs are available through the plan.
